Disc Golf.png

Disc Golf

The Bear Valley community offers a free scenic and challenging high-altitude 18-hole Disc Golf Course. It’s is not uncommon to see groups of people out on the course every day from the time the snow melts, to when the snow arrives, and beyond. We rent and sell discs and have free score cards at our store! A set of 3 discs is $10/day. A single disc is $5/day.

Hiking & Backpacking

Bear Valley is surrounded by two wilderness areas, the Carson-Iceberg and Mokelumne Wilderness, with many great hiking and backpacking opportunities. Stop by for maps, advice, and last-minute items to help you get ready for a fantastic trip in the wild.

Rock Climbing & Bouldering

Bear Valley is home to a wealth of bouldering and rock climbing. Fortunately California Rock Guides has an office in the village and serves all ages and abilities on the granite walls surrounding Bear Valley and beyond.

Tennis & Pickleball

Bear Valley has four high-quality courts surrounded by pine trees and fresh air. High altitude tennis balls, racquets, day passes etc., are available at our store, plus court and tennis racket rentals. Visit Bear Valley Tennis for membership information.

Trail Running

Get the altitude experience while running in Bear Valley. So many trails to choose from, but here are two sites to get started: Trail Run Project & Trailforks.
