Bear Valley is conveniently located in the center of an extensive mountain bike single-track trail system and world-class road cycling. Both activities are literally out our back door. Our elevation is 7100 feet, so summer and fall are the cycling seasons. BVAC stocks bicycle gear and clothing, and also operates a bike shop for repair and service. Reba’s Toll House Cafe in our parking lot is the locals' favorite for lunch. Feel free to stop by and inquire about riding recommendations; we love to talk about our work. Happy trails!

2026 Rental Rates
We maintain a fleet of high-quality rental mountain bikes, ready for exploring Bear Valley trails. You can literally access trails from our parking lot.
Daily Mt. Bike Rental Rates:
$145 - Electric Full Suspension (26’ Specialized Levo 4 Alloy)
$95 - Electric Youth Mt. Bike (25’ Specialized Turbo SL2 Kids)
$75 - Full Suspension (26’ Specialized Status 2 140)
$25 - Youth (26’ Specialized Riprock 24)
Bike rentals are from 9:00 am - 4:30 pm.
Extra days are 20% off full day rate.

Mountain Biking INfo.
Bear Valley is home to some of California's best single-track mountain bike trails. Most trails cater to intermediate through expert riders, but a few are appropriate for new riders. Most trails are accessible from our store, where our staff is happy to provide updates on trail conditions and recommendations.
Checkout and support the Bear Valley Trail Stewardship (BVTS), a non-profit organization that meets regularly in the summer to clear, rebuild, and enhance trails around Bear Valley.

Road Cycling INfo.
Bear Valley is located at 7100 feet on Highway 4 and at the doorstep of the “California Alps.” With breathtaking scenery, smooth roads, and an average population of 2 people per square mile, it is a spectacular place to pedal your road or gravel bike.
The Bear Valley region is home to the world-renowned Death Ride and some of the best road-cycling terrain in the world. Don't hesitate to stop by our store for supplies and current road and cycling information.
Cancellation Policy:
A $25 processing fee is applied to all cancellations. Cancellations made between 1 and 2 weeks before your booking receive a 50% refund. No refunds are given for cancellations less than one week before the first day of rental.
Late Fees:
BVAC strives to provide efficient rental services. When rentals are returned late or scheduled services are delayed, it can affect other customers, including staff. Therefore, BVAC reserves the right to charge $20 for every 15 minutes of late rental returns or deliveries. Thanks for understanding.
