Snowshoers enjoy our extensive trail system of over 3,000 acres. We have 38 carefully groomed trails, a trailside Meadow Cafe, three warming huts, and two kids' trails. The elevation of 7,000 to 7,800 feet guarantees first to open (usually mid-November) and last to close (usually mid-April) status among Sierra cross country centers.

The sport of snowshoeing has gained popularity with modern lightweight and user-friendly equipment. Also, the discovery of cross country ski trails for snowshoers has contributed to this fun winter adventure. We carry snowshoes in a variety of sizes, and no special shoes are necessary. Snowshoeing is definitely fun for everyone! Snowshoes are available for sale in our store as well.

Dogs are not allowed on our trails from the Bear Valley Trailhead. However, dogs trails are available when our Tamarack Trailhead is open. Hint: when you see that Jacks Trail is open on our daily trail report, you know that dogs are likely allowed.
