season pass Protection plan
New for the 2025/2026 winter season, the Bear Valley Adventure Company (BVAC) offers a Season Pass Protection Plan. Participants can protect their season pass investment in the event of an injury or extensive medical condition.
How does the BVAC Season Pass Protection Plan work?
If an injury or extensive medical condition prevents an individual from using their season pass, a credit prorating a portion of their season pass value is issued for the next winter season. The Season Pass Protection Plan is available to all season pass holders. For those who have already purchased a 2025/2026 season pass, a Season Pass Protection Plan can be purchased by April 30th, 2025. All new season pass purchases must include the Season Pass Protection Plan at the time of purchase. No exceptions will be made.
How is a credit applied?
All BVAC season pass holders enrolled in the Season Pass Protection Plan and who meet the terms of the program are eligible to receive a credit towards purchasing a season pass for the following winter season. To determine the amount of credit, a pro-rated formula is applied based on the date of the injury or medical condition:
Before Dec. 15th – 100% credit carryover to the immediately following ski season
Between Dec. 15th & Jan. 15th – 50% credit carryover to the immediately following ski season
After Jan. 15th – the pass is considered *fully utilized*. In this case, the full value of the pass has been received, and no additional credit will be carried over.
Terms and Conditions:
No cash refunds will be issued; all benefits of the Pass Protection Plan will be issued in the form of a credit.
The Season Pass Protection Plan must be associated with a single season pass, and credit cannot be applied to a different season pass.
The credit must be utilized towards a season pass for the Ski Season immediately following the ski season in which injury or medical condition occurred.
Recommendation of non-participation must be provided in writing by a licensed physician. (The recommending physician may not be related to the claimant, and recommendation must be on physician’s letterhead from a physician licensed, residing and practicing in the continental United States).
The cost of the Pass Protection Plan is non-refundable for any reason.
The Pass Protection Plan is valid for only one winter season; re-enrollment is required every season.
Exclusions:
This Season Pass Protection Plan excludes the following: lack of snow at the ski resort; dissatisfaction with conditions, terrain, employees, or other facets of the Bear Valley Adventure Company; job transfer, change of employer, loss of employer, or loss of employment; self-harm; or pre-existing medical conditions.
