Join the Bear Valley Trail Stewardship for a morning of trail work on Saturday August 12th, to help maintain and repair several local trails just above Lake Alpine. Bring your family and friends as we have tools and work for all skill levels. We will be raking the tread, lopping branches and brush, and cleaning up some of your favorite nearby trails.
Trail work will be followed by a complimentary Trail Workers Lunch sponsored by the Bear Valley Trail Stewardship with good food, good friends, and of course, refreshments for young and adults.
WHEN- Trail Work from 8:30 to noon this Saturday-8/12, followed by a 12:30pm trail workers lunch at the picnic tables next to the Bear Valley Adventure Center.
NOTE- Please park in the lot across from the frisbee golf course so we don't crowd out BVAC customer parking.
MEET at the Bear Valley Adventure Company (BVAC - aka gas station) at 8:30am for a short introduction and tool safety briefing. From there, we will divide up and carpool to the job sites. We usually knock off by noon and return by 12:30pm for a complimentary trail workers lunch.
WHO- Bring friends and especially family, as there are working levels for everyone. Come out and help get our trails back in shape!
BRING- Don’t forget gloves, a hat, and sunscreen, along with sturdy shoes, long pants, water, and snacks. Many tools will be provided, but rakes may be in short supply, so if you have your own, please bring it. Be sure to mark all tools with your name.

This is a perfect family-oriented trail work day as it involves mostly raking and lopping small branches to define the trail.
