Ice skating in the meadow

The ice skating pond is closed due to incoming snow storms. There is a good chance this will remained closed for the season, but who knows? Every winter is different.

Yesterday, the pond got a major overhaul and will be closed this Friday for surface conditioning before reopening for the weekend. This is a fluid situation, and below is an outline of our ice skating plans:

  • Daily 9am - 12pm (weather permitting)

  • Skate rentals: $25 (includes Ice Access)

  • Ice Access with own skates: $15

  • Guest: $5

Note: We removed the 1-hour limit on rental and access so that people can enjoy as long as they like between 9am-12pm.

The opening of ice skating was a success, and many folks and families enjoyed this unique Bear Valley experience. It’s a little bumpy, but not that bad. We plan to continue offering ice skating as long as conditions permit. This is a fluid situation, and below is an outline of our ice skating plans:

(1/28/26) Conditions are currently right for ice skating on a natural pond in the Bear Valley meadow. While we cannot ice skate often, right now the stars have aligned to offer ice skating in the meadow between our tubing and sledding hills.
