March 2025 Happenings

Since the last Cub Reporter in February, we received a welcomed return to winter, followed by a blistering heatwave. Fortunately, the sun had minimal effects on our groomed trails, and while we lost a few of the most exposed areas to snowmelt, the main trails withstood the warmth and continue to provide excellent cross country skiing, snowshoeing, sledding, and tubing. As this month's article is being drafted, another storm cycle has arrived, and it looks like a fantastic finish to the winter season. Wahoo!

Also happening in March, BVAC is aggressively discounting entry-level skate skiing equipment and including a complimentary lesson that will get you gliding with a smile. So, if you have been on the fence about owning your own skate skiing gear, now is the time.

Many people have given kudos to our new sandwich board signs in the parking lot that direct people to our trailhead on a groomed snow path instead of walking on Bear Valley Road and impacting the highway intersection. We appreciate your support in setting a good example for our guests. Plus, walking on the snow helps save your ski boots from wear and tear from walking on the asphalt.
