Early snowstorms always serve as a chilly reminder of all the chores required before winter, and this year proved no different. We wrapped up several summer projects at the Bear Valley Adventure Company just before the snow. As a result, the Meadow Cafe has a new metal roof, a fresh coat of exterior paint, and new deck handrails. Plus, the interior is reorganized for indoor seating this winter. Back at the store, new paint on the front of the building gives a subtle yet clean look.
Thanks to the folks who attended our Trail Work Days on September 25th and October 8th, the Aspen Forest and Canyon Vista trails were cleared of debris and saplings. Afterward, our staff continued widening the Aspen Forest, Headwater, and Bjornloppet trails. While the trail work is almost never-ending, it feels good to make progress each summer that enables our snowcats to access and groom some of the best cross country ski and snowshoe trails.
