Wow, COVID-19 changed everything! Quicker than how the 2019/2020 winter ski season started on November 29, 2019, it ended even more abruptly on Friday, March 20, 2020, when the Bear Valley Adventure Company closed due to the statewide "shelter in place" order. Despite fresh snow and good skiing, it was prudent to close for staff and community well-being. We look forward to welcoming guests back when the time is right.
The good news is that Bear Valley and all its gifts of adventure, solitude, community, and beauty will be here when you return. The air a little crisper, the sky a little bluer, and the water a little more refreshing when you jump into a lake. Absence makes the heart grow fonder.
In the coming weeks, the Bear Valley Adventure Company will start transitioning to summer. Keep an eye on our website and social media channels for updates, schedules, and general Bear Valley happenings. Summer can be the best time of year in Bear Valley, and many of the longtime locals state that "they came for winter, but are staying for summer."
Be well,
BVAC
