September 2021 Happenings

Bear Valley Adventure Company Happenings

The summer season is transitioning to fall, and the Bear Valley Adventure Company has some exciting news to share.  First, Mark Silverstone joined our team as Retail and Store Operations Manager. Mark's enthusiasm for all things Bear Valley, attention to detail, and first-hand knowledge of our adventurous offerings is sure to keep our store humming, customers smiling and enable us to grow our community-owned business.

Second, and a little overdue, is welcoming Caroline McCormack as Reba's Toll House Cafe Manager.  Caroline brings a wealth of professional experience from Food Service Manager at Fortune 500 companies to Chef de Cuisine at Division 1 university athletic programs.  Plus, Caroline is an alpine ski coach and understands the importance of good food for even better adventures.  We are fortunate to have Caroline on our team and look forward to the cafe's evolution.

In other news, BVAC purchased a snowcat from Tahoe Donner and sold another to the grooming operation on Sonora Pass.  This new addition to our fleet of three snowcats enables us to groom some of the best cross country ski and snowshoe trails in the business, plus build more and exciting sledding and tubing hills for our guests.

By the time you read this article, we hope that the forest has reopened and that outdoor activities can resume safely and responsibly.  Fall is often one of the best seasons to visit Bear Valley, and we look forward to assisting your adventures in the near and distant future.  Cheers!
