July 2021 Happenings

Bear Valley Adventure Company (BVAC) is busy supporting awesome experiences for both locals and visitors.  BVAC prides itself in blending fuel, supplies, and outdoor recreation, and guests are pleasantly surprised when walking into the store.  BVAC is not your typical gas station.

In addition to our regular offerings of bike and boat rentals, BVAC also rents disc golf, tennis, and pickleball supplies.  If you haven't already played on the Bear Valley tennis courts, get ready for the best high-altitude courts in the Sierra Nevada Range.  Access to the courts is $20/day/person, and Bear Valley Tennis Club membership applications are available at the store.

Reba's Toll House Cafe (aka the new food trailer at BVAC) is excited to partner with the Bear Valley Music Festival to offer unique dining adventures during the festival!  Chef Caroline created a menu where each concert is accompanied by a meal that compliments the music.  Online per-orders through the BVMF website are highly recommended, and non-concert attendees are welcome to dine with us and enjoy the festival's atmosphere and ambiance.

The Bear Valley Bike Shop is staffed seven days a week and facilitates rentals and repairs.  While retail bikes are difficult to come by this season, our mechanics are experts in keeping bikes rolling and riders smiling.  Our full selection of traditional and electric mountain bikes and road bikes are sure to add to your Bear Valley adventure.

Summer thunderstorms have provided some spectacular afternoon sky shows.  So far, moisture has exceeded lightning, and only one small fire is burning in the Carson Iceberg Wilderness.  Fingers crossed, this pattern and ratio continue.  Be well.
