Bear Valley Adventure Company (BVAC) is busy supporting awesome experiences for both locals and visitors. BVAC prides itself in blending fuel, supplies, and outdoor recreation, and guests are pleasantly surprised when walking into the store. BVAC is not your typical gas station.

What does an average day look like at the Bear Valley Adventure Company this time of year? During these quieter spring months, staff arrive at 8:30am to open the store and trailhead at 9am. After the eager skiers, snowshoers, and snow players start their adventures, we often experience a lull until ~10:30am when more guests arrive.
February 2021 Happenings
If you haven't noticed, winter returned with gusto towards the end of January, and now the snowpack is looking great for the second half of the ski season. Although the storms' rate and intensity were not easy, not to mention a 5-day power outage, eventually the sun came out, we found and dug out our belongings, and now our winter wonderland is looking fresh and vital.

Thanks to Leap Year, an inch of new snow arrived on the evening of February 29, and we did not have a snow-less month; but it was close. The snowpack has proved durable and resilient this season, and the Bear Valley Adventure Company has kept 30+ kilometers of trails open thanks to the hard work of the outside operations crew.

This winter's snowpack is proving robust and resilient. Despite January's less than usual snowfall, our winter landscape got recharged right before Martin Luther King Weekend, and the Bear Valley Adventure Company was ready to welcome the crowds. Holiday periods are essential to Bear Valley's economy, and we hope you either spent quality time on the snow or pursued some extra work to fund your next adventure.

These are exciting times at the Bear Valley Adventure Company! Looking back at October, we teamed up with the Bear Valley Trail Stewardship to host the Fat Tire Festival. Nearly 50 enthusiastic riders gathered to learn, share, and celebrate the thrills of mountain biking in Bear Valley.
