Wearing flip-flops and enjoying the warmth of Indian Summer, knowing that by tomorrow afternoon there will be a fresh dusting of snow on the meadow. These wildly fluctuating conditions are one of the many reasons to love Bear Valley.
Fall is often considered the "locals summer" when crowds diminish, and access to outdoor activities is high. A feeling of summer adventure urgency is not uncommon, as we all know that winter will change the landscape soon. When one door of adventure closes, another door appears. Yet another reason to love Bear Valley.
The Bear Valley Adventure Company (BVAC) is excited about the 2019/2020 winter season. To jump-start the winter, BVAC will be hosting a new Pre-Winter Dust-Off & Lift-Off event on Saturday, October 26th. Guests can check out new skis, clothing, and enjoy discounts on selected items. Educational clinics will be offered on physical conditioning, ski waxing, and avalanche awareness. Also, a special one-day season pass sale will be available for those who missed our Spring sale. Details are available on the BVAC website: www.bearvalleyxc.com.
Last but not least, BVAC is looking to hire a couple of exceptional individuals to join our team and get involved in anything from the retail, trailhead operations, ski instruction, and even food service (more details on our new culinary endeavor in the next Cub Reporter ;-). Until then, enjoy Fall and BVAC looks forward to sliding with you soon.
