The waiting game for winter has begun, and it's hard not to check the weather forecasts multiple times a day. It's both exciting and agonizing as each nuance is analyzed. Is the storm door open or closed? Wax on, wax off. Each winter is different, but the emotional roller coaster remains the same. It's part of the snow farming cycle.
Meanwhile, the weather this autumn has been exceptional. A few noteworthy rain events, and one potent snowstorm in mid-October. Temperatures rebounded, our trans-Sierra highway reopened, and the trails got tacky and void of dust, a mountain biker's and hiker's dream conditions.
By the time readers see this article, conditions could remain the same (giggle) or change dramatically to a winter wonderland (wahoo)! Regardless, we hope you can visit and enjoy Bear Valley. We are - Cheers!
