Looking back, it was a nervous time leading up to the event as the snowcat drivers worked hard on the course with fluctuating temperatures and thin but adequate snow depth. "Race day" donned clear skies, crisp temperatures, and a route that was firm, fast, and in excellent shape. Game on!

This winter's snowpack is proving robust and resilient. Despite January's less than usual snowfall, our winter landscape got recharged right before Martin Luther King Weekend, and the Bear Valley Adventure Company was ready to welcome the crowds. Indian Summer Makes a Come Back
It's been a chilly week in Bear Valley, and if you know where to look, there is still a dusting of snow to be found around town. This shouldn't last long as the weather is forecasted to return to above normal temperatures by the weekend. This is good news as the Bear Valley Fat Tire Festival is happening this Saturday, October 5th. This one-day event is action-packed with guided rides, meals, shuttles, prizes, and shenanigans. So if you like to ride a bike, this is your opportunity to meet other pedaling enthusiasts and enjoy the trails in Bear Valley, especially as the Bear Valley Trail Stewardship has been busy this summer cleaning the paths and resurrecting some new ones.
